“My experience at White Sands was that it’s heavily localised but if you are good at surfing and know the rules then you’ll get your waves.”

“I have surfed White Sands for a few years if you know what your doing and don't get in the way of the locals then you won't get grief; it's the same at any spot in the U.K. Respect locals and understand how a lineup works. Heavy rip on a south swelland wide sets catch you out on a north swell. First section us good but it's well exposed to wind as it's a 5 minute paddle across the channel, plus Great Whites. Welcome to Scotland, now go home.”

“Good when it's bigger, generally a really nice wally wave.
Some of the locals are absolute legends, others have pretty nasty entitlement complexes. It's definitely one of the more 'perfect' waves on the coast, but that also makes it a little boring. Go exploring lads, there are a lot of funky and fun waves in the area.”

“Not consistent at all and very exposed. When surfing this spot it was fat, slow and not very powerful, and I was met by 10 surfers who wer shall we say not the most welcoming bunch of fellows/ locals: snaked hassled and dropped to many times to remember. Don't think my presence was much appreciated. There are far better quietr spots up the coast. I won't be returning here again!”
