Wharariki Beach Surf Photo: 'Stormy surf' by Rob Davies

Bigger than it looks. The wave out the back is breaking outside the bay even though it's high tide so more than 1km out. Felt dangerous with strong rips, length hold-downs and we both hit the bottom which is a first in very many visits.
