Tunkalilla in Adelaide is an exposed beach break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the north northwest with some shelter here from north winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south. The beach break provides left and right handers. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for - Rips / undertow - Sharks.
