“First of all, if you make it to Ghizo town you have won in life. Rent a bike and take off on the only road out of town. Eventually you will get to Titianas, but it will be an amazing ride. Once at Titianas, ask the boys for a board. They will give you one and then you get to traverse the immense reef. The locals dont wear shoes and are immune to the reef as well. So have fun with that. Once you get to the lineup there will be numerous local kids in the way. But forget your preconceived notions, this is fun! Engage the locals, smile, and remember, you are surfing an amazing wave that pretty much nobody else has. Remember to donate money to the locals. They wont rent you a board but they will let you use one. So give them money and say its for the village.”

“This spot is one place that many local fishermen a aware of because the waves are huge and monsterious. It is also the closest surf sport to Gizo Town. Either you go by transport which currently cost one-way SBD $5.00 or by TAXI SBD $50.00. There is always other options to get there... by boat...or take a walk either through the coast around the island or the main road which runs across the island. In Gizo, especially in Titiana, surfing is a sport many children admire. Don't be surprised if you go alone and the next 20 minutes you got company of kids surfing nearby with only half timbers, or a surf board made of sako-palm trunk. There's a local boy from the village who had been surfing this area for quite a while. His name is Tauni, about 18yrs old. Just like other kids in the village, he's freindly and always loves to make new friends.”
