Scar Reef Surf Guide

Scar Reef in Sumbawa is a sheltered reef and point break that has reasonably consistent surf. May-Oct (Dry Season) is the optimum time of year for waves. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. A left hand reef break. Best around low tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
