Punta Brava in Golfo de Chiriqui is an exposed reef break that has very consistent surf Works best in offshore winds from the north. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. A left hand reef break. Best around low tide. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Beware of urchins and rocks.

“Nice Point over Rocks. A-Frame but tends to break to the right. Best at mid to high tide. To shallow when low. Easy ten minutes Paddle out. Low to medium crowded. Hardy localism. Suitable from mid intermediate levels. Easy access. Located between Santa Catalina beach and El Estero beach.”
