Puerto Viejo Surf Guide

Puerto Viejo in Lima is a fairly exposed beach and point break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the east northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the optimum swell angle is from the south. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and there is a left hand point break too. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Take care to avoid the rocks.
