The best wind direction is from the north northwest with some shelter here from east winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south southeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. The water quality here is rather suspect.

Cae Galvao from Brazil
“The Boraceia beach is very good spot for long boards. It's normal to have waves in any kind of swell. The best is from southeast with east wind. There is a secret spot in the left side (Bora Bora) that works with a swell from South (more than 10 s) combined with an east wind (off shore - Terral), the results is a perfect left and long wave.
I advise you to leave your car in the parking area and avoid that somebody steals it.”
