Point Loma in San Diego County is a sheltered beach and reef break that has reasonably consistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the northwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's sometimes crowded here. Beware of urchins and rips.
