Newport - The Peak in Sydney North is an exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the west northwest. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. Both left and right reef breaks. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Likely to be crowded if working. Hazards include urchins, rips and rocks.
