Bilgola Beach in Sydney North is a reasonably exposed reef break that has very consistent surf. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Ideal winds are from the north northwest. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the best swell direction is from the northeast. Reef breaks provide lefts and rights. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of urchins, rips, rocks and obstacles.
