Mount Cameron on the West Coast is an exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the east northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the ideal swell angle is from the west southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right and there are also left and right hand reef breaks on offer.. Good surf at all stages of the tide. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Hazards include rips, rocks and isolation.

“Surfed last weekend. was nice 2-3ft swell, big ones broke too wide- mid sized waves ran the longest. I guess it all depends on how the sand is at the time. Overall fun wave in a beautiful place.”
