“I am from Puerto Rico although I live in the us now. I have surfed this spot many times. Coolest thing about this spot is that the winds here blow offshore all day long. The pictures shown might make you think that it is a right hand wave but it is not. It is a steep left hand wave. The right hand although it looks amazing, it fizzles out right after the bottom turn. Not much action on the right. The left however curls up and keeps going. A lot of lip action available here. A lot of talent in the line up and yes, it gets crowded. Needs a north or northeast swell to work correctly north easterly swells makes it work better. It requires a rather large swell for this spot to get fired up. Best size would be head high and above. On north easterly swells and if it is big enough there is a long right hand wave that barrels along the reef. It is towards the right of "Los Tubos" if you are standing on the shore. Most people stick to "Los Tubos" because it is a long paddle to the right hand spot and also because the right hand wave adjacent to Los Tubos is not as fast and powerful; but it is clean and usually less crowded. "Los Tubos" means "the tubes"or "the pipes" in English.”
