La-China in Golfo de Nicoya is a fairly exposed breakwater break that only works once in a while Offshore winds blow from the northeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south southwest. The breakwater breaks favour lefts and in addition, there is also a left hand point break. Rarely crowded here. Beware of rips and polluition.
