Fragata in Sal is an exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the west. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. There is a left breaking reef. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Sharks have been reported here.
