Visitor reviews of Dominacalito and The Point surf break

“A pretty solid beach break, very spread out with lots of peaks. Lefts and rights, with a consistent right at the northern end of the beach.
This spot seems to work best between mid and high tide. My best sessions here have been about 1.5-2 hours before high tide; there's an hour window when it really cleans up, but at high tide it gets mushy. Don't come at low tide, or before mid tide.
I've been here for a week in season (mid July) and there was consistent 4-6 foot swell the whole time. Ideal wind conditions early AM until about 9, and afternoons usually after 4/5.
Crowds are minimal, it definitely has that local vibe and is overlooked for the big name spots the tourists find on google. So that's a plus, at least for now.
Maybe a few surf lessons/schools going on, but that seems to always be in the middle or more toward the south end of the beach.
Less traffic on the north end, but a few more rocks under the surface; never was an issue but don't ride too far in toward the beach to be safe.”
