Visitor reviews of Covelong Point surf break
(NOTE: Reviews may be edited by our content team for the purposes of ensuring accurate and relevant information)
“Super consistent break, sometimes approaching 5 star, and very friendly locals! Not your typical destination surf break. All things considered, Covelong point is the best break in the area. A short (50m) to medium (100m) right hander (2' to 7'). Mostly gentle sand bottom, there are some rocks at the take off point, and a few sea snakes. In 10 years never seen any casualties from either! The Covelong Point Surf School is right on the break and offers boards, food, fresh water wash and lodging. Great for beginners, or expats traveling through India. In optimal conditions, the nearby fishing village point break can offer 200m rides with barrels and open face.”

“Nice spot, small right hand breaks goes upto 7ft in good seasons (June-September) some part of the beach are clean like the one near the Fisherman's cove resort and the Bay of Life Surf School but be warned other parts are horribly dirty.
Dress decently swim suits are ok, if you are wearing bikinis be sure to cover it up with a beach dress or something just to not hurt the sentiments of the locals.
There is a lot of local surfing activity, but kinda friendly. check with the local surf shop or surf school for conditions and hidden rocks.
Well you also paddle board here
Stay hooked!”
