I recall many times in the 60s n 70s of watching in awe and from a distant clifftop, this majestic break fire up during a big southerly and waiting for someone to take it on. Respect for the few locals that ventured the paddle. You're very right, looks can be very deceptive especially at distance.

The waves looks very deceiving ..i,m sure its a lot large in real life ..good use of the negative space
