Cherry Hill Surf Guide

Cherry Hill on the South Coast is a fairly exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the northwest with some shelter here from north winds. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days.

marchBest Season: winter

blown out
Surfable sized waves that are of poorer quality due to prevailing onshore, cross-onshore or windy conditions (may be preferable for kitesurfing).
too small
Waves usually considered too small for good surf. Some wave-magnet breaks may still work though if conditions are right (on occasion).

“I consider Cherry hill to be my home break... I have been surfing there for more than 20 years ....
It's a beach break, that breaks into a rip on a bigger days...great for paddling out, not so good when you get caught inside..... at lower tides it breaks hard on the sandbars.
Getting busy”
