Blowhole Surf Guide

Blowhole in Bay of Plenty is a reasonably exposed point break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the southwest. Able to handle light onshore wind Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the northeast. There is no point break. It's sometimes crowded here. Hazards include - Rips / undertow - Rocks.
