Black Rocks Surf Guide

Black Rocks in Cape Peninsula is a fairly exposed reef break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the west. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. Both right (best) and left reef breaks.. When the surf is up, crowds are likely Sharks may be a hazard at this break.
