Bird Rock Surf Guide

Bird Rock in Qeenscliff is a quite exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the northwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. A right hand reef break. Best around mid tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Take care to avoid the rocks.
