Axim on the Gold Coast is an exposed beach and reef break that has dependable surf. The surf tends to be best in the spring. Offshore winds are from the northeast. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers and there are also left and right hand reef breaks on offer.. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Rocks are a hazard.
