Aberystwyth harbour trap Swell Statistics, July: All Swell – Any Wind

The figure shows the variation of swells directed at Aberystwyth harbour trap through a typical July and is based upon 2479 NWW3 model predictions since 2006 (values every 3 hours). The wave model does not forecast wind or surf right at the coast so we have chosen the most applicable grid node based on what we know about Aberystwyth harbour trap. In this particular case the best grid node is 29 km away (18 miles).

The rose diagram shows the distribution of swell sizes and swell direction, while the graph at the bottom shows the same thing but without direction information.
