Kuaotunu in Coromandel is a sheltered reef break that has fairly consistent surf. Spring and Summer provide the best conditions. Offshore winds are from the south. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the northeast. A right hand reef break. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. Rarely crowded here. Hazards include rocks and sharks.
