Scotland North Coast Surf Breaks

Scotland's north coast has now become world renowned for thick chunky waves which can scare even the most accomplished surfers. From beach beaks to mind blowing slabs the north coast has it all, just don't forget the winter wettie as it gets cold up there. But at least you won't be fighting the crowds with plenty of breaks to go around for the few who venture up. A good word of advice is 'Prepare', the north coast of Scotland is one of the least populated places in Europe and specializes in spooky reef and slab breaks. Scotland isn't a budget traveling destination so only has nice Inns and Hotels to accommodate visitors. Extreme weather is renowned so keep an eye on the forecast. If the swell is flat then there are plenty castles and wildlife reserves to wander and explore.
