Waiapu River Surf Photo: 'Blown Out' by Rob Davies

Overhead but blown out. A powerful left rivermouth break that is very exposed both to swell and wind. A rather lonely and intimidating place to surf. It is not unusual for easterly swells to be much larger around East Cape than in Gisborne.
