| Timo | Wow! I surfed here back in 1988. I came over to Oz via Japan with a broken clavicle and got my ass handed to me here but not before I caught a couple of nice ones on an onshore six foot day. I was shocked to see the difference in power from N.S.W. as soon as we turned the corner in Victoria. Traveling with my fiancé' in a combi camper and surfing the coast from Sydney to Bells, back up north all the way to Noosa was the happiest 4 months of my life. The people were the nicest, most hospitable folks I ever met even though they kept calling me "Yank" (which I'm not. I'm from Alabama, a Southerner!) and my girl,"Jap", which she was of course; it was all in fun. One day I hope to get back. Any Ozzies ever getting stuck here and needing help look me up. Ask for Timo, every surfer in the state knows me. I owe a favor to all from Oz. |
