“Waves at Walton are so rare. It’s not worth wasting your time. Go up the coast where you are more likely to get better conditions.
It only works with high winds and ends up complete mush. Too much for beginners and not good enough for better surfers.
Water quality is poor. You can’t park in the summer and Walton isn’t worth a visit anyway.”

“16/3/13 Today was a good day for surfing indeed I didn't go out myself but there were 2 others out. The wave height when the tide was coming in was about 4ft+ give or take but as the tide went out it dropped to 2ft which was a bit of a let down. The wave itself had close outs but an alright ride going left and right and it had quiet a bit of bump on the face. I have found that walton on the naze only has a rideable wave when the tide is coming in and going out at low tide its a pond. I have also found that any strong wind above 15mph will produce a rideable wave. Today it was 20mph to 30mph but with the wind dying down we can only bug and wish for the next ridable wave.
