Waihua Surf Guide

Waihua in Hawkes Bay is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds blow from the northwest with some shelter here from north winds. Does not handle onshore winds very well Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. The beach breaks are all lefts. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. A remote wave spot that never gets crowded. Take care of the strong rips here.
