Waihua Surf Guide

Waihua in Hawkes Bay is an exposed beach break that has pretty consitent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Ideal winds are from the northwest with some shelter here from north winds. Poor surf in light onshore winds Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the south. The beach breaks offer left-handers. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. The location means that it never gets crowded. Watch out for dangerous rips.
