Tuapeka Point in Chatham Islands is an exposed beach and point break that has very reliable surf and works all around the year. Offshore winds blow from the south. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights and there is a left hand point break as well. Surfable at all stages of the tide. Crowds are never a problem here. Beware of - Rips / undertow - Localism - Sharks.
