Visitor reviews of Trouville surf break
(NOTE: Reviews may be edited by our content team for the purposes of ensuring accurate and relevant information)
“Not so bad in the sense that the next real surfspot is at least an hour an a half driving away.
If you consider an ankle high water oscillation as a "wave", then this spot works quite regularly. Only a few days a year with clean knee to waist high waves, because size usually comes with huge onshore wind. Mostly short period windy waves, but can also catch huge and long Atlantic swells with west orientation (expect 5 to 10 times smaller than exposed spot of the Atlantic coast).
Lots of comfort (restaurant, bars, shops) because Trouville is a fashionable old touristic seaside resort, with its drawbacks: crowded and hard to park. It is accentuated by the fact that Trouville is the nearest surfspot from Paris.
