The Pass Surf Guide

The Pass in Tongatapu is a quite exposed reef break that has consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the east southeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. A left hand reef break. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Hazards include coral.
