Visitor reviews of The Farm surf break

“I surfed the Farm back in the 70's rarely surfed it during the 80's & 90's. A very weak wave unless the swell is over 5ft. It also MUST have the right swell direction or it sections off and becomes very full. Bigger swells in the wrong direction seem to waver then close out. Just a fun wave with your mates a chat and laugh. But I really don't treat the Farm as a serious wave. The Locals do and are very protective. Smile don't drop in and the laughs are on.”

“The Farm is a great beach to surf at for all abilities of surfer. It is surrounded by rolling hills which help to form a natural amphitheatre giving it a unique quality not easily replicated elsewhere. The southerly aspect of the beach allows the Farm to attract the predominate swell that frequents the coast when other beaches in the area are flat. Access is now easy as the road winds all the way to the western end of the beach. There are toilets, camping and nearby Mystics beach offers more waves if the swell is up. Situated in the Killalea State Park I'd say it has been made a national surfing reserve for good reason. 4/5 stars on a good day. Watch out for the crowds and locals though.”
