St Lucia Surf Guide

St Lucia in Kwazulu-Natal is an exposed beach and reef break that only works once in a while. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the northwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the southeast. Waves at the beach break both left and right and there are also left and right hand reef breaks on offer.. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Beware of sharks and rocks.

robert from South Africa
“Had a fantastic 4 days in the St Lucia area. I had not visited this area so was not sure what to expect. I found a paradise with so much to do and to see not to mention the friendliness of the Locals and the safety aspect. Great seeing Hippos walking the streets. Had enjoyable meals at Alfredos, ski boat club, ocean basket. I stayed at Lodge Afrique which I rate 6 star for service, cleanliness, sleep and most importantly great breakfasts. The manager, Robyn, is in my books first class, helpful, makes one feel homely and a great sense of humour. Well done to all.

Lodge Afrique is a little paradise situated in St Lucia.”
