South Beach Surf Guide

South Beach in Del Norte County is a sheltered beach break that does not work very often. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the west southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around low tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for sharks and rocks.
