Visitor reviews of Sea Cliff surf break

“Seacliff is not worth the effort and dangerous risk of the shallow reef. I would recommend to go to Coco beach or even south beach. The waves are also better at Coco beach.”

“This place is fairly inconsistent, only works few days a year, it is usually small, full of sea urchins and eventually powerless. If you want to ride some powerful waves Coco Beach is the place to be. Just do not waste your time on this spot as it is also difficult to access and it is not worth the effort.”

“Urchins and soft, slow waves, sums this place up for the most part, but Dar has a variety of spots. Most of the locations accessible for the daily quick surf are not really worth the paddle unless you have a longboard. Season swell begins as early as May through October, but do not be surprised to have the occasional storm/wind swell in the off season. Hard to judge size at most spots as it breaks a bit far out and no one is usually out, but it is bigger than it looks. Must get it early with sun up, as the wind will destroy it all, and tides are a huge factor. If you put in the effort, you will catch many fun to epic days, but you must be vigilant. In the off season, you would never imagine good waves, or waves at all. When it is firing, you know that no one will believe it! The beach breaks are where the average crowd hangs out, but travel the coast line with a boat and you will find many reef breaks that are fast, hollow, and pack a punch. Coco Beach is not where you want to be for the good waves.”
