Sawmills Surf Guide

Sawmills in Cape Otway is a fairly exposed reef break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the north northwest with some shelter here from southwest winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. There is a right breaking reef. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Hazards include rips and rocks.
