Guerout from Ivory Coast
“Morning,

May i give you some details about surf Pedro Spot ?

We are 5 permanent surfer, all friends we share waves but there is many spot on San Pedro's beach.

Break point on rocks (but sand on the floor) and beach break.

We share waves, therefore for the rating the is definitely no crowd.

Concerning previsions, I must say you are the most accurate (comparing magic seaweed) nevertheless I think you can become more accurate with some basic information concerning weather in Ivory coast.

In December there is Harmattan so almost each morning there is an off shore wind from 00am to 11am-13pm.

When there is more than 20km of wind (except offshore) the swell is very messy and the waves are not opening often.

When there is more than 1.8 meter of swell, it is almost impossible to surf and waves are closing (your rating 4-5 star for waves that are almost impossible to surf)

The best conditions are at the waves we call "la gauche du voleur" the thief left" referring to the snapping competition we do between us (we are all good friends) when this wave works; the conditions are : 1.2 to 1.4 meters high, less that 5km wind or offshore wind, (morning conditions) energy no more than 300 (if more the current to strong except if the swell is south east oriented which is the best condition but happens VERY rarely)

Hopes it helps to be more accurate fell free to contact me, if you send me a mail we could also speak on the phone and surfer in San Pedro will be willing to help if you need anything.

Sincerely
Tristan Guerout”
