The Lowdown
Alright, this is Rusty. Let's talk about what's on the table for the Rehoboth Main stretch.
Look, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. The next week and a half is a proper flat spell. We've got a solid 13-day gap here where the surf just isn't happening. The swell is tiny, the energy is weak, and the conditions are messy. The first real chance to even *think* about paddling out doesn't show up until Wednesday, September 2nd, on the afternoon. That's a long wait.
For that Wednesday afternoon, we finally see a pulse of life. The swell is a meek 1 ft coming out of the SE with a period of 10 seconds, giving us a combined energy of (42). It's not much, but it's surfable. The wind will be a light offshore flow from the NW, which will clean things up. The water here is sitting at 77° with what's described as a "touch warmer than normal" for this time of year. It's a small window of ordinary waves, but after all that nothing, it's the only thing on the menu.
The following days are more of the same flatness, with a few glassy moments on the 5th of September, but the swell is still just a tiny 2 ft with a short period of 4 seconds. That's barely a ripple. Honestly, for the entire 16-day window, there isn't a single standout. The best you can hope for is a small, clean session on that Wednesday afternoon, but keep your expectations in check. The surf just isn't cooperating right now.
Rusty.
