The rose diagram illustrates the variation of swells directed at Pleasure Point-Sewer Peak over a normal June and is based upon 3506 NWW3 model predictions since 2006 (values every 3 hours). The diagram implies that the prevailing swell direction, shown by the biggest spokes, was SSW, whereas the the most common wind blows from the WNW. Because the wave model grid is offshore, sometimes a strong offshore wind blows largest waves away from Pleasure Point-Sewer Peak and away from the coast.
