Plantations in West Sri Lanka is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the north northeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the south southwest. There is no reef break. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Beware of - Rocks.
