Visitor reviews of Newgale surf break

“Inconsistent and often windy. When there is offshore and the swell is big, it can be brilliant, but watch the sand banks (a recent addition to the beach since winter storms 2013), as they can greatly affect the waves at different tides.
In the summer it will be fairly busy, but due the size of the beach, it's easy to find a quiet spot, and of course all throughout winter it's empty.
Odd beach - sometimes amazing, sometimes terrible. Water is clear and clean. There is plenty of parking right next to the beach, and a pub, cafe, surf shop (where you can hire boards, suits, get lessons and much more).
All in all, a good place to come for the week if the conditions are right :)”
