“If you're from Belgium this is the closest place you can go to do some surfing.
In autumn I go almost every weekend since I have also got myself a SUP board there is almost always something to do there.
Especially for learning to catch waves (after you've mastered standing up in the foam :) ) this place is really good. Not too heavy but the waves will take you for a ride!
It is however not good at all stages of the tide. At high tide the fun is over. Also if you're still in the water at high tide, coming out is not pleasant. There is a rather steep climb on pebbles and the waves crash into it and of course come back ... taking some pebbles with them. Wear your boots, I didn't the first time ... ouch :) !
Also although the beach is all pebbles., under the water its sand, all the pebbles are washed ashore. Which makes this a care free place to board. If you go closer to the cliff though there are rocks so stay in front of the beach.
Also watch the fishermen ... those bastards :)”
