Marion Bay in East Coast of Tasmania is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the west northwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the east. The beach break provides left and right handers. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up.
