“The place is covered in sh*t and toilet paper. The locals carry guns. They hate tourists. The surf is full of sharks because the ocean is fished out. Enter at your own risk. You have been warned.”

“The inside right Breaks right in to the off-shore trade winds But the real wave Is the big outside left best during hurricanes Rarely surfed, I surfed the outside twice both during hurricane swells Waves up to 6-10+. Wave doesn't close out due to the deep drop off as wave hits a deep shoulder quickly but you can watch The wave wind Down the reef before you take off at the end section Bottom turn Hit the lip and then a giant cut back, from there the wave hits deep water.”

“Kaalualu Point is an epic spot, small fickle but great waves for all skill levels. Wind blew side off all day for three days and the swell went from overhead to shoulder high with the tides. My new favorite spot on the Big Island. Lots of variety, and almost nobody anywhere to be seen. Glad to see a couple of surfers show up. Stark beauty.”
