Isla de Izaro Surf Guide

Isla de Izaro in Pais Vasco is an exposed reef break that does not work very often with no particular seasonal pattern. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northwest. There is a right breaking reef. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for rips / crowds.

“Escapin the Mundaka crowds, surfed with handful of guys at right similar to Pinballs at 6-8'; fast and thick with hollow section at top of wave...rocks!”
