Starting at Middleton Point (check out the great bakery at Middleton after a surf)look to the East towards Goolwa and you will find plenty of beach breaks to choose from.
Paddling into the lineup is very easy and the locals are friendly as long as you show respect.
The wave holds well to 3ft with plenty of waves for short boards and malibus. Anything over 6ft will see large amounts of white water and a tough paddle. When it gets to 6ft head over towards Victor Harbor and check out Chiton Rocks, The Dump and The Pines.
This stretch of coast can be very fickle over summer (Nov -March) however the pick is during winter with strong ground swells and offshore winds. Whales appear during winter and there are plenty of pubs and local markets to keep you occupied.
Only a 90km drive from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia you can do a day trip or stay for a while in the many caravan parks and hotels.”
