Getares in Andalucia is an exposed beach and reef break that only works once in a while. Summer offers the best conditions for surfing. Works best in offshore winds from the west. The short fetch makes for windswells rather than groundswells and the ideal wave direction is from the east. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Be wary of rips - they make surfing here dangerous.
