Sidmouth in South Devon is a sheltered beach break that does not work very often. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the north. Usually gets local windswells, but groundswells do happen and the best wave direction is from the south southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Best around high tide. The location means that it never gets crowded. Take care of rocks in the line up.
